Edd of Eddsworld fame has passed on, leaving us with memories and laughs as his farewell gift. I watched the memorial video on Youtube that Matt and Tom made, up until the server flat out refused to load due to all of the comments being added so quickly. A Newgrounds Legend has died, Ladies and Gentlemen. I doubt many people will really come around to read this, but I still need to put it out there.

Requiescat en Pace, Edd.

Gotta hate 'em. I mean, doing it unintentionally is one thing, but going out of your way to piss people off is another. It's just plain stupid. And like the proceeding picture, it makes no sense... that's about all I have to say
except check me out on DeviantArt, plz! ^_^
Same username, so I shouldn't be too hard to find. I've started a comic, hopefully I get enough input (soon enough) that I don't start to feel like I'm doing it for nothing ^_^'

Got new speakers for Christmas because my old ones had started to make a really annoying buzzing noise. I have had them for a couple of years, and they were Dad's for a few years before then, so I figured that they were just old. I got a brand new set of speakers. And now my new base unit that came as part of the set FUCKING BUZZES!! The worst part is is that the two sets are not compatible - the treble speakers of the old set buzz and the bass unit of the new set buzzes. I can't take the new treble speakers and rig them to the old base unit, which would solve my problems SO quickly. SPEAKERS ARE EXPENSIVE, I CAN'T KEEP DOING THIS!! At the very least, the base unit only seems to buzz at night, almost never during the day. Odd, isn't it?

Merry Christmas Newgrounds!!

Saying it now because I'll probably forget by tomorrow.

The first page of my Black Parade things should be up soon, just as soon as I coordinate with the guy with the printer. Good god he sleeps a LOT!!

Be forewarned, I am strolling into unfamiliar territory with this. If you (the viewer) think that anything remotely resembling anime style is automatically faggotry, then don't even bother looking at it when it's up, you brainless baboon. If you are accepting of art whatever the style, or somewhere between to two extremes (IE having a valid reason for your dislike, or at least not so damn uptight about it) then you may look at it without any worries, Okidoki? Too many times I've seen good flash movies and games get trashed by reviewers because of "gay anime style", so I feel like putting this up ahead of time to give a little bit of a heads up. If you don't like anime for stupid reasons, DON'T LOOK AT MY DRAWINGS. And with that, thank you.

... On a side note, I just started playing Empire: Total War online. If anyone gets paired up with "Spearman"... take it easy on me, will ya? How the hell was I supposed to know that Puckle Guns are Fixed Artillery when the game doesn't tell you? I took a LOT of heat for that, all over some people being insensitive and uptight! So what if I can't move the damn things around, that gives YOU the advantage!! STOP BUGGING ME!!!!!!!!!

And with THAT, i end this post and try to figure out how NOT to fail and 18th Century style warfare.

*EDIT* Have successfully scanned the picture, now working on cleaning it up so that it doesn't look like crap. Will edit again once it's actually done. I hate scanning my drawings. Always so many unsightly smudges that the scanner makes from barely-visible eraser marks and whatnot. *sigh*

On a side note I figured out that the Puckle Gun isn't a fixed artillery piece after all, and I was right the first time!! Take that, know-it-all Steam Community BITCHES!!!

And so ends my 1:22 AM rant before it gets out of hand. G'night!!

*Edit2* And now I can't submit for some reason. I keep hitting the submit button, waiting a few HOURS, and coming back to find that nothing's happened. Meh. Always something.

*Edit3* Got tired of trying to make it work here and put it on my new deviantart account. Here's the address.

First Page

Posted by Etheral117 - October 7th, 2010

I'm currently drawing a series of scenes to go with the My Chemical Romance song Welcome to the Black Parade. Right now I'm still working on the first page, and I don't have a scanner here at college... so I'm going to try and figure out how I'm going to get them uploaded. I know a friend who has a printer, but I don't know if it does scanning. Ah, well. I'll figure it out, I'm sure.

I've been at college for three weeks now. Strange thing is, it already feels like it's been an eternity since I've left home. Classes are going well enough already, and my schedule doesn't have any issues. So far. Anyway, in other news, Halo Reach is coming, 9/14/1992!!

It gets better : My birthday is two days later.I even convinced my Dad to pre-order the game from GameStop, netting me that unique armor-piece-thing. So, here's to success, prosperity, and avoidance of tea-baggers!!

Week three

Posted by Etheral117 - July 28th, 2010

Last time I posted it was just before summer started. Now I only have a few weeks until I'm off to college. I still need to get my driver's license!! But I'm a good driver, so I'm not too worried. However, still. COLLEGE?! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TIME!! For instance, I got up at nine, it's felt like forever, but it's only 1:30. Yesterday, SEVEN hours just flew out the window before I had even realized that ONE had passed!!! Someone slow down the rotation of the Earth, PLEASE!!! In fact, REVERSE it a little! I want this summer to last!

Time flies. But pigs don't, don't be silly.

It's almost summer vacation, which is good. But this time is different. This time, there's no going back to high school. It feels so weird. It's also annoying. most of the other schools I've heard of... got out more than two weeks ago. Anyone care to tell me why the hell I'm so unlucky as to be in the county with a LONGER school year than any other, and with absolutely NO EXTRA DAYS mixed into the schedule in case of storm/powerout/snowdays? I mean, for every day we miss we have to come back on that weeks' SATURDAY to make it up!! And don't get me STARTED on the food the past few weeks!!

Anyway... next step is College. Either I'm excited or totally petrified.... so yeah. June 11th 2010.

Counting the days

Callsigns - when Spite meets Boredom, Energy, and Wit.

Some may note that I only included three years of high school below. "What of the fourth?" you may ask? Well, it's because here our high school does not have the capacity to handle four grade levels, so a 'special' "Ninth Grade Academy" was built (or rather, converted from a primary school) to accommodate the Ninth Graders. This was done last year. Before that, the ninth graders stayed at their middle schools until Tenth Grade, and the system worked. Well enough, anyway. Also, JROTC was only made available to the Ninth Graders only when the Academy open for business. So I joined JROTC in the Tenth Grade instead of the Ninth Grade.

And now to
My dad used to be USAF. So, naturally, he can think up of callsigns and nicknames pretty quick. On our way back from the NRA convention two days ago, we decided to spend some of the trip making up callsigns for my JROTC instructors. Here's what we came up with:

From my first year...
SFC Davis is Rocky. If you knew him, you would agree.
COL Rogers is Colonel. Just because.

From my second year...
1SG Benton is Patch. He has a bald spot on the back of his head.
SFC White is Shiny. He would have been Chrome, but he's black so Shiny works better.

From my third year
SFC James is Boston. Her accent is thicker than mud.

And finally, though he actually became part of the program during my second year but wasn't in direct day-to-day contact with me until this year, we have my personal favorite callsign:

MAJ Brown will be known forevermore as: Wedge. The simplest tool known to man.
